Quality and a great number of shops found in Majorca have made it a consolidated tourism destination.

Here´s a list of the most important shopping possibilities for all tastes, ages and budgets.

Obviously in the centre of Palma there are countless shops, boutiques, stores and bars and restaurants where to have a break and gather strength to keep going. The best zone to shop includes main streets of the capital such as Avenidas, San Miguel, Jaime III and Borne; you will be able to visit well known, international textile chains as well as the beauty stores: H&M, Zara, Stradivarius, MAC, KIKO Cosmetics… And much more in the shopping mall El Corte Inglés.

If you are interested in buying something for your kids do not miss the area between the main square Plaza Mayor and Jaime III street. You will be able to choose between more affordable rates at C&A and renowned, Spanish firms as Gocco.

But if you look for the real luxury you are in the right place: in Jaime III street and surroundings there are stores of Loewe and Versace, among others, where the staff will be delighted to help you with your shopping. Nevertheless, if we talk about luxury, we have to mention Portals Nous and Porto Adriano. A unique experience which offers exclusive shops and boutiques, relaxing ambience found just by the sea… Simply a wonder…

If we change the landscape, we shall suggest going to Valldemossa, the beautiful town in Tramuntana mountains, where you will be able to purchase handmade and craft pieces, decoration as well as fashion and accessories. In the centre of the island you cannot miss Inca, its offer includes food, jewelry and watches, although this place is mostly known for good quality leather products fabricated there, such as bags or jackets. This is your place if you look for a new pair of shoes, it is where the internationally known Camper was born and has the original store.

On the other hand, if your financial possibilities are more limited or you search for antiques, we suggest one of the numerous markets held all over the island. The one which stands out above the others is the market of Consell where you will find all sorts of old pieces of furniture, decoration objects, textile and much more surprises. There is no need for taking a picnic; on the market you may find food stalls as well as a huge barbecue where to fill your belly and keep looking for a bargain.

If you are not interested in old and out of date items, do not worry, in Majorca there are many stores you may purchase the latest technology products. Telephony, videogames, sound, small appliances and all kinds of gadgets; all of them are found in stores such as Media Markt, situated in Ocimax leisure centre.

Of course, if we talk about shopping we must mention big malls as well, where you will discover shops of any kind. At the time being, the island counts on two big department stores: Porto Pi and Festival Park. The first one is the oldest mall in Majorca and the one which is mostly popular on cold, rainy and hot days as all the shops are indoors; nevertheless there are outdoor areas as well. It combines fashion shops and restaurants, internationally known Carrefour and Müller are also there. The last one is more modern and open where you can purchase outlet objects of such famous brands as: Nike, Guess, Levi´s or Desigual. If you are there, you just cannot miss the cinema with the wide latest pictures´ offer, some in original version. After such shopping marathon, there is nothing better than to enjoy a good movie and popcorn.

Are you satisfied with Majorca to do your shopping? We believe so!
