Summer is synonymous with leisure and fun.

There is nothing better than enjoying Majorcan nights in some of the traditional festivals that multiply in Mallorca during the summer. Get to know them!

The popular patronal feasts of the villages have regained strength in recent years and have already become a not-to-miss event in the calendar of things to do on the island and that you cannot miss during the summer. In Saint Michel we present you some of them that you should not miss:

1. Party of the Patron of Pollença: it is celebrated at the beginning of August. The commemoration of the invasion of the pirates in 1550 has given rise to the festival of the Moors and Christians. The central act begins at five o'clock in the morning of the 2nd of August with the “Alborada” and continues with the mass in honor of the Mare de Déu dels Àngels and the dance of the cossiers, among other acts.

2.“El Much” in Sineu: it started only ten years ago with typical folk tales in the village, which started as a local festival, has become a multitudinous event that every year attracts local people as well as tourists. This festival brings together many new elements that have made the Mucada an essential date for the summer holidays of the villages on the island.

3.Festival of Vermar in Binissalem: it is one of the oldest in Spain due to its characteristics and it is focused on the famous wines of the area, now declared DO Binissalem. The municipality is full of activities of all kinds related to the wine sector that delight wine lovers.

4.Festivities of Sant Agustí: The party of El Coso starts early in the morning with the concentration of its members, who throughout the day walk the streets of the village. One of the central acts is celebrated opposite the church: the resurrection of the Quica, a parody of the liturgical acts with a stuffed hen that is placed on the top of a stick as if it were a standard.
